Enough is Enough Petition
On April 18, 2009, Molotov cocktails were thrown into Robert Kudrik’s home in the village of Vítkov. Robert lived with his partner, four children and three more family members. The fire destroyed their home and seriously injured the parents. Their two-year-old daughter, Natálka, is in a coma with burns covering 80 per cent of her body.
Violent attacks by far-right groups against the Romani community have intensified in some areas of the Czech Republic. An increasing number of marches and statements by some Czech far-right groups include incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence against the Romani community. Many Roma in the country say they fear for their lives.
The Roma of the Czech Republic face the highest proportion of discrimination in Europe. They experience discrimination at work, in access to education, housing and health care.
In solidarity with the 3,000 people who took to the streets in the Czech Republic to protest neo-nazism and racism in an event entitled "Enough is Enough", and with the more then 300,000 Roma under attack in the country; The undersigned say no to the rising wave of extremism in the Czech Republic and across Europe.
